The Esperance Ravensthorpe Leadership Initiative (ERLI or Initiative) was launched in November 2022 and will take place in 2023.

The Initiative has been developed to provide opportunity for potential leaders in the shires of Esperance and Ravensthorpe to improve their skills and gain experience in a professionally orientated setting. The Initiative has been designed to invest in the next generation of leaders by providing them with opportunities to learn and refine leadership skills that will deposit long-term flow on benefits to the local region. 

The ERLI will be delivered by Regional Development Australia Goldfields Esperance (RDA Goldfields Esperance) with support of program partners Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI) and South Regional TAFE. All partners recognise the value in building skills and competencies in regional areas that can reflect the unique environment of the region.

Chair of RDA Goldfields Esperance, Lee Jacobson, said the ERLI represents a positive opportunity to build capacity and skills for the next generation of regional leaders: œWe are proud to announce the next iteration of RDA Goldfields Esperance's previous Future Leaders Program, that ran in Esperance and the surrounding region throughout 2020-21. 
The new Esperance Ravensthorpe Leadership Initiative represents a more consolidated leadership program for our region, with lessons learnt from previous iterations of the program held in both Esperance and Kalgoorlie now being applied to the ERLI to offer a smoother learning and development experience for our emerging leaders within the shires of Esperance and Ravensthorpe. 
We are also hoping to encourage industry to support the growth of this initiative, by participating as sponsors of the program, providing a demonstrable opportunity for local industry to actively support the emerging, future movers and shakers across our patch of the world.
